The ‘Rise for Sudan’, القُومة للسُودان

A slogan used during the Revolution of 2019 and after the fall of dictator Omar al-Bashir. It was a call to action for the people of Sudan to reclaim their future through collecting funds under the umbrella of “if you have give, if you don’t take” as an intial seed to growing and building the Sudan they had been dreaming of.

Join us on Friday, September 6 from 18:30 to 3:00 at @lark.berlin for an event to raise awareness about the ongoing crisis in Sudan and to support families on the ground. The evening will feature a panel talk, live music, a dance performance, DJ sets, a photo exhibition, food, and a market – all centered around uplifting Sudanese voices & Black communities around Berlin.

A majority of the proceeds will go to Hometax Sudan, a Sudanese organization providing mutual aid. Another part will support the burial fund for our dear community member Sulti. May they rest in peace.
