“Lover Buffet is a queer, self-produced musician who has been building their life in Berlin, initially over summers, and then fully at the start of 2020. Growing up in two places (Maputo, Mozambique and Cape Town, South Africa) the word ‘hometown’ is difficult to define, also considering their family isn’t from either place. Their musical style is equally nomadic as they’ve been influenced by a multitude of genres and people: from soul icons like Etta James to classical composers like Eric Satie, to 1990s pop producers like Max Martin, or contemporaries like Blood Orange.
