We invite you to join us for an evening of shared bliss and collective support, celebrating the unique artistry of our beloved Berlin queer community. This release party for “Like That” by Electrosexual & Nicky Miller will have a program that features the exclusive premiere screening of their new music video (Directed by Stasys Žak), their debut LIVE concert performance, along with DJ sets by Sherø and DJ Killing. This event is proudly presented by Singular Arts Group, a local Berlin organization known for championing queer arts, which is led by David Aaron Swartz.
(PS: It is also the birthday of Nicky Miller!)
The new single by Electrosexual featuring Nicky Miler, “Like That” will be out on the 28th of November via Rock Machine Records. This single captures the duo’s shared vision of modern club culture — political, emotional, and liberating. They wrote it spontaneously as a live performance – it’s political, emotional, and liberating as their chemistry merges sharp electronic production with Miller’s haunting vocal presence while cid lines flash, serrated synths bring sharp angles, and slapping drums demand a physical response. “Like That” is the duo’s second single, following their initial release “Lèvres Roses” (“Pink Lips”) which came out in 2022 via Sherø’s KlubKid Records; the single was accompanied by a critically-acclaimed video directed by Nicky Miller, and had a strong showing across film festivals globally. This new release along with the debut of their live concert performance lands soon after a remix recently released by Electrosexual for Captain Mustache on Mobilee Records and just ahead of the duo performing an opening set on the bill for the sold-out show of KOMPROMAT (aka Vitalic & Rebekah Warrior) in Berlin this December.
Longtime electronic music producer and composer Electrosexual joined forces with the interdisciplinary genderqueer artist Nicky Miller back in 2022, after years of kinship developed through their active participation in the queer club culture community here in Berlin, and they quickly became an underground queer party favorite. Their shared passion for exploring the terrains of queer acid house brought them together to pursue a new territory of their own sound to form. Their sound is genre-blending across Glam, Electroclash, Disco, House, Acid, and infectious Techno-Pop; the music is heavily influenced by their shared love for clubbing and is inspired by Nicky’s longtime work in performance art as well as poetry about the body, identity, and sexuality. The duo formed in 2022 in Berlin, where they quickly became an underground queer party favorite for their explosive energy and unique blend of electronic genres, creating a “portable party” experience at both non-traditional arts event and also club nights where they pack a uniquely powerful performance punch to create a frenzy of energy to crowds on the dancefloor.

ELECTROSEXUAL:
With past collaborations alongside Peaches, David Carretta, Hanin Elias (Atari Teenage Riot), and Kiko, the French-born Electrosexual (aka Romain Frequency) is a longtime Berliner. They stand as one of the key figures of the French Electroclash sound alongside underground legends such as Miss Kittin, The Hacker, and Vitalic – as recently highlighted by The Guardian. They have a famously raw analogue sound and have performed at the scene’s most cult clubs. Electrosexual’s sonic universe boldly explores themes of gender identity, art, alternative sexualities, and our intimate relationships with technology, celebrating unity, resilience, and the ongoing fight against all forms of discrimination.

NICKY MILLER:
Nicky Miller is a Berlin-based genderqueer interdisciplinary artist working primarily across film, performance art, and creative writing. Nicky was born nearby Paris and is of Vietnamese roots. LGTBQ+ sexualities and identities are at the core of Nicky’s work, never afraid of tackling politically sensitive topics such as sex work, fetishes, BDSM, and queer sex practices. Their award-winning work can offer a hallucinative escape from the norms of society through the desires and sexual emancipation of their characters. Challenging normative structures and conventional thinking, Nicky’s work is fighting to redefine society’s perception of queer identities. Their films have been lauded by the underground press and shown (and celebrated) at film festivals of many varieties (queer, underground, mainstream, erotic, post-porn) all over the world. Nicky is a well-known and cherished character within the local Berlin queer arts / clubbing community, they are a vocal activist who consistently shows up to support causes dear to their heart, and actively participate in various roles with film festival events (such as award juror, panelist, and mentor).
